As much as I enjoy the days with the hard training, as much I like the days, when I am doing the tappering. Specially like now, when it is a late spring, weather is beautifull, I can plant flowers, fix a bit in home, enjoy the sun, spend some time with the friends. All this I miss when training hard, but again, when tappering I start pretty soon to miss the hard training:-) What to learn: enjoy every moment in your life in your day, the presence, dont look continuously how something could be. You never know when it is too late, I got cancer twice,I never forget it…
This is something you might here lots of times, in Ironman this is the only way to keep control; you have to eat well to be able to train all those amounts and keep your weight under control. It might sound strange that even a person trains all that amount, he has to look after the food and amount what he is eating, not to gain weihgt, but yes, this is how it functions.
Week is gone and we are home again from a great training week on Mallorca; if you ever plan to train in a better climate, and in the mountains, keep Mallorca in your mind, but……
This morning i again had Lasse my swimcoach by the pool.
He did some video, and showed me some of the mistakes i need to work on.
My normal coach have over and over again told me many of the things, but when i saw it on video over and under water, i really understood it.
So go do it, be a moviestar in the pool, and get fast, really fast.
greetings from the dolphin Kaisa.
This week was one of the travelling weeks again, since I spent from tuesday until thursday evening in Finland. As I normally am quite busy while travelling,
Getting ready for a morning swim in the Mediterranean Sea
it needs a lot of planning how to put the training into my programme. The other a bit interrupting point in travelling is, that I sleep badly, and this makes my training a bit tricky. Anyhow we have solved the training by doing it in the mornings as I am an A person, and while in Finland, I normally can have some good swimming and running passes.
Nevermind, next week we will head for the trainingcamp on Mallorca, starting on 5th of May will anyhow and ofcourse be cycling, as Mallorca is a known of its mountainsides, but even the flat cykling is great on the island. It will be perfect time to stress a bit more my bike leg, to be ready for Hannover in the beginning of June. What else is great on a training camp is, that except of training there is time for relaxing, which is a very important part all and all while training a lot.
Yesterday afternoon, I had my test on Kettinge roads, making my PB in 1 round, and doing better time than ever Could not be better, very good motivation for the further training. Soon I am heading on my MT (muscletension) bikepass, and a brick off bike run for 30 minutes.
I feel that I am soon getting ready as well for my first race, 1/2IM in Hannover in 5 weeks, will be perfect to get to test the condition so far! But first heading to Mallorca!
