I am actually not sure if you call them like this, but I (=we) do And it means that you do a double session or triple session in your workout. Like swim+run, or most normal ride + run. Why to do them?
Well one reason is to get body=muscles and cardio to get use to changing from one discipline to another one without any big problems. Yes in the beginning you will have problems, but in the end you prefer to run after riding, not just run. It is strange the body Well, you can also swim and run after. This is not so easy to do fast, specially in the winter, but good training. And it is also a good way to train the body to get a bit tired in longer workouts.
I had a great brik day today;
Started with a run down to the pool, where I swam 1hour and after run home. Obs, when running down to the pool, I run from 1900 to 1800 heightmeters, (this is what my GARMIN 310XT is telling to me :-)) and opposite when coming home…!!! So when I am home, I feel like I did some training, as running after a swim 30 min uphill for a 100 heightmeters…
In the afternoon I had a special kind of brik; crosscountry with skating style 15 k, and after on the turbotrainer… 65 min heavy riding…!!!
And now it is time to head to a fantastic SPA of
After definitely a good night sleep!
