It is really nice to be down in the warm Canaries, and get some kilometers ridden. Came down yesterday and have at least 2 nice training weeks ahead me. I am really enjoying all the hours I can ride, run and swim. Today I had my first ride and I felt great
Actually Rasmus Henning is leading a ride for Playitas quests every tuesday, so I had a possibility to ride with him and a group, but as triathlon is a ”lonely mans sport” I chose to start my training camp with less company., and I was riding with a good friend Søren. Normally it would have been Frank with me, but he is not down yet (this is why there will not be too many pictures , before he is down as well ) Fantastic ride, even the weather was a bit tricky… meaning that a bit chilly… well yes chilly for me… I guess it was around 20, but mostly clouded, and wind, so this is what made the difference I would think. 1600 heighmeters and lots of zone 3 riding as first day ride, and after that a brick run with intensity, I would call a great start for a training camp
I am riding again with my Garmin 310XT, and a watt wheel, and I could not be more satisfied. I can follow everything, that my coach has asked me to train after all the time while on the bike: The time, speed, lenght, watts, heartrate, cadence, laps, just to mention some of the positive sides, and after the training is done, I even get more cool things out like the route, height etc. etc.
Actually I have moved to use the Garmin Forerunner 110 on my running training. This I do, as it is a bit smaller and it is fitting very well on my narrow wrist 110 is very handy, and very nice looking with grey and pink colours (very important information for all the womenJ) Still I get the map of my run, and ofcourse heartrate, runningspeed, and kilometers.
Tomorrow is a new tough training again with some good riding and running, so now I have to head to some food… so long, see you on the roads !
