Every day is a new day, bringing us more new friends, more knowledge of training, whether it is running, biking or swimming. Lets look at the swim training this time. I have been a lucky one to be able to swim in Dave Scott’s classes. He is a great coach and still in great shape also himself. He is walking wisdom i would say. Many of the worlds top tri-athletes use him for advice or as coach. Just great.
In Flatiron Athletics Club, you just pick up the class you want, and you enjoy. When we plan my training, we also put bigger focus into one discipline during a week, like swim focus, and that week I am really pressing my swim; the technics in it, but also frequency and the distance.
Of course in a training camp mostly all the three disciplines are getting focus, as there is more time generally for training, and resting in between the passes as well. My camp in Boulder got suddenly a big swim focus, and I can enjoy of the tough swim lessons daily
And it is funny to see how in the end of the swim class, Dave Scott himself jumps into the water, and makes his training himself, yes he is still in form!
