My Hawaii result was decided today……

or at least that is how I was thinking. I had to think like this. I understand that even Kona is not until 12 oct., every day from now on, is a day that ads to the result.
If it is a rest day, rest hard !
If it is a easy long day, go easy and go long.
And if it is a day where I climb my love/hate mountain….Passo Santa Barbara by the Lake of Garda, then it is a day, where my head is tested.
If then the brick run is a 500 altitude meter mountain run, in 34 degrees……then I know that I am getting Kona strong, in every way.
So my point is……every day is good for something. Being good for the family….being a good mother…..being a good collega….
and going one step closer to  your raceday.
I took one more step today, and a good one. Tomorrow is an easy day. So I will try hard, to be easy. One more step.

Take your next step tomorrow, with a clear mind, that the step you take, is in the right direction.

See You out there,

A small break on a hard day

A small break on a hard day

The day before 70.3

Time to rock’n roll again, this time I will race in 70.3 up in Ålborg, northern part of Denmark. Me, together with around 700 other danish triathletes, who are racing to reach the top spot on the podium. So it is danish championships in the distance, half Ironman

So..I am ITU long distance World Champion -what a day!

went Without any expectations, but having a feeling of having been training hard for the last months… and then  finally I did it, I got to be an ITU World Champion in my agegroup… well yes, in Triathlon, that in the end got to be a  duathlon due to poor weather conditions. But woooouuuhhh how I feel great now. 1 month ago I would never have believed it. I was getting really fit but tired after months of working/biking on Mallorca. Really tired. Then my training was made in a very different way, and slowly I started to turn around.
and yes, the last week up to the race, I finally became fresh, and so ……..We made it :-)

hard day in the office ...

hard day in the office …

first is always first :-)

first is always first :-)

ITU World Championships in triathlon or duathlon ;-)

Sun is not always shining, not in Europe  this May anyway…which means that it is raining, it is colder than normally and this means again that the water temperatures in the lakes or sea, are not warm like they should this time of the year. Well, what does this then again mean… Well obviously couple of triathlon races have to cancel the swim as the water is not just warm enough, and there are the rules to follow.

well well, not the best conditions ;-)

well well, not the best conditions ;-)

So the photo above was just right how the training or race can get to be in these kind of conditions…preparing for saturdays DUATHLON!
