Results in 2010
the year started with me and my injuri. I got a MR scan, and it showed a prolapse in the 4 and 5th part of the back.
A serious damage, and the whole 2010 would be about that.

– dropping out of 70,3 Schweiz and Ironman Zurich. I dident even start, as i could not even run 5k, and was away from running for 3-4 months. Hard period.
I worked a lot on my swim and bike, and was getting treatments from the best og the best.

Danish Championship 70,3, was in august, and was partly a good race. But again i had to stop, after 5k on the run.
I went into T2 as nr 2 of all age-group women, 20 sek after the leader, so it was a hard decision to pull out, i still think it was right decision.

Insted of Kona, i decided with Frank, that i needed something special, to move my motivation (i was still in deep pain when i tried to run, 6 month after the damage started).
Build-up Camp in Boulder, CO, where Frank would work with Craig Aleksander doing photoshoots, and i would get at chance to train at altitude and in the mountains.
It worked, as i did my first run over 10k, and slowly started to feel better. I could train, but still only volume, no intensity. So this is what i did.

Ironman Cozumel 2010. 1 place in my age-group.
I was still not 100%, but much better, and my swim + bike, was really good. I took the lead from the swim, and never left it.
I am ready for Kona 2011, my year was good at the end.

1st at Ironman Cozumel, and my Kona 2011 ticket is booked

November to march I put my base training in (hard to get the long bikerides, as winter is tuff in DK)
Trainingcamp on Gran Canarie for X-max and New Year. As a kind of solution on the “long-bike-ride-thing”.

End March I travel to Canada for a trainingbreak/Skiholiday.
It is good for me, I do cross-country, Mountainclimbing on skies (with skins under) and a lot of nice skiing.
I am really low on swim/bike/run in these 2 weeks, but it works for me, I get really motivated for the coming training.

As my spring has gone with trying to get rid of my running injury, I have been urged to change my race plan.
Swimming and biking is better than ever, but running is not really there where it should be.  I hope that the rest of the season will go as following:

April-may-june : solid training and:

8th of August DM long Distance in Juelsminde, Denmark

Open Water swim competitions in Denmark during the summer

TrainingCamps when possible, 1 or 2 of 1-2 week´s each.

End of November Ironman Cozumel
