This is what it got to be: Silver in my agegroup, Silver in ITU Long Distance World Championships, that is just cool!
I think also it is so cool, that the first race in the season, and I got what I came to take (even first place ofcourse always is nice, but the girl (Australian) who took that today, was just too far from me today, and a really nice person, so good one to loose to..)
I am happy! It was the day for me, the race went after all the plans…
The results… I was one of the best agegroup women all and all, but all the results are still behind the chinese, so I cannot tell you more at this moment…
But I can tell you, that Camilla Pedersen , the Danish PRO triathlete won the women’s race, how great is that, world champ ! And actually, number 2 was a Finnish girl, Kaisa Lehtonen, great as well!
and the other podium came to me in our danish team … 2nd and I was so happy with my race.
Rasmus and Allan did also the race. Rasmus had a supergood day, 7th, and that just 6 days after a crash on his bike. When he came to China, he could not lift his right arm, today he came first out of the water in the pro field…quazy.
Allan was struggling a bit in the heat, so all his good training from the last 2 months didn’t shine today, but will in 2 weeks time in Korea, I just know this But the hardest day was for Jens Toft, who came up in the front pack on the swim, and then broke the chain by km 9….race over, and I really feel sorry for Jens…more luck next time.
Crowie has been here with us also, as Frank works a lot with him these last 6 weeks. After loosing the best group of the swim, he spend the whole ride alone and then posted a flying run. The best in the field. He is so fit, that I just wonder what could have happened, if he had got onto the right feet in the swim
so congrats to all of them, and thanks for good company this week!
I also want to thank you my fantastic coach for all patience during the year with my injury, and getting slowly rid of it, and that he did coach me into this super fitness and shape, I had today in the race!
(and yeah…I know, it´s my husband, but also coach, so sometimes it is just right to say thanks for that, when I feel it is so good)
I will sleep, and with a smile, as this race gave me hope, that my body will allow me to race a bit more this and next year, and I am looking forward to it, today was a good day.
More updates to come soonest
