The last 10 days I have been enjoying my time in the Italian Alps, having training focus mostly on the biking, ofcourse not forgetting swim nor run either.
My coach puts focus weeks for me, and I normallly respond well to this, lifting my level on the focus area 1 or 2 steps. And for now, biking is on the program. Some funny stuf and some not so funny stuf.
Pretty hard stuf. But …….. I guess it all comes together at the end.
The tour started from the eastern side of Dolomites, where I was riding around Sella Ronda, on a day where the roads where closed, a true italian party on bikes, you can just imagine.
Fun and good training same day.
I have ended up in the western part of the Dolomites, where I could have a fantastic ride of 130 km, and 3000 climbing meters … = thats tuff stuff if you are in doubt. But a fantastic day.
(I think Frank = coach/husband, regrets todays trainingplan, as he was really having a hard time coaching me on the last part of the climb….so I know who is buying the pizza tonightJ)
See some nice scenerys from my rides:
And yes….today the world record for the women and men fell to Crissie Wellington and Andreas Realert. And yes even more important; one more that Frank is coaching, got his ticket today to Kona,
There is som fast racers out there.
and yes……….It is less than 100 days to Kona, so now it is time to train hard and smart, and save myself from the injurys !!! I look forward to the next days rest,
and to a life experince in Kona.
See you on the roads! The mountain roads (they are just more beautiful and more fun)
