The season is slowly getting into the end for this year, but mine is first starting Here is the plan…
My goal for this season is Ironman in Mexico, on Cozumel in the end of November. If I can train normally, the Hawaii ticket is the goal.
It finally looks like I am recovering from my injury, and I finally can run more or less normally. I of course feel great for this, and am looking forward real training
I still need to be careful, and so every day without pain is good.
It is very important when having an injury, to keep focus in the things you can do, and do them.
Like when I could not run, I got to swim and cykel more and got some strength for these 2 diciplines. If you can strenght train, do that as well, it is important for your later prestations.
I also did a lot of elipse run and water running, and I belive it will pay off now, so my come-back will not be so long, to reach good running level again.
I got “go” from my treater, and I got some excellent core excersices from Torbjørn Sindballe! He belongs to the group I call “the thinking athlete”, and has a lot og good knowledge, and knows how to pass
it on. Who knows better than him, how to develop your core muscles (being tall like him, and reaching the level he did).
I try to put some of the exercises under the training in some days.
So now I hope that I can slowly build up for 3 months to Mexico:
It will start tomorrow, where I will fly to Denver, and drive up to ……Boulder.
Need to get some power to my cycling legs, and get the real training for Mexico started. Looking forward to my first visit to Boulder, will be great, I am sure.
Stay on the line, and you will hear more from Boulder… the mecca of triathlon (maybe second after Farum, the hardcore camp site for the Danish Tri National team)
See you out there, Kaisa
