The training is going well and the weather has got nice, warm, so now it is full summer down here. Just a short update of my training, the other day actually I was riding against Formentor, pushing all my effort and in z4 the climbs, and made my records in all the 3 climbs, so no complaints so far, looking forward 14t May
But it is not that I want to talk to you about, I want to tell you some great eating places, when down in Alcudia
There are of course lots of different restaurants in Alcudia Puerto or up, around 3 km in the Old Town of Alcudia. Most of them are spanish, so lots of tapas. But in the spanish they also make some good plates of meat or fish. My favorite absolutely is one called Sa Taverna, the tapas, wow, great, allioli = garlic mayonnaise is made with olive oil, and without eggs, but with a lot of garlic, marvelous!!! The bread they bake themselves, so it is always tasty and fresh. The owner is Piero, originally italian, and he has couple of other restaurants as well, that I warmly recommend; like the italian Cafe Sa Placa up on the square, or if you want to eat in the old roman style, ex cinema, in a gourmet/international way, try Satyricon. All of them have really great portions and a great taste in their food.
Piero is actually putting up one more restaurant down into the Puerto, which will be called Piero Rossi, and will be a true italian, with a stone-oven… but will not open than in a week. Just by the leisure harbor, and the sailing boats.
So, you when you get hungry, now you know where to head… And if you live in the Puerto, a taxi drives you up in to the old town with 4 euro
See you by Piero’s!!!
