In February, it is still good time for building strength, whether you train swimming, running or cycling = doing triathlon and even you are training just one of the disciplines. And it is also important to lift the real weights… for the power… and for avoiding injuries
Every day is a new day, bringing us more new friends, more knowledge of training, whether it is running, biking or swimming. Lets look at the swim training this time. I have been a lucky one to be able to swim in Dave Scott’s classes. He is a great coach and still in great shape also himself. He is walking wisdom i would say. Many of the worlds top tri-athletes use him for advice or as coach. Just great.
It is like you say, the days a passing fast, when you are having fun I feel now that they are passing almost too fast… 2 weeks on a training camp in the middle of the Scandinavian winter is just perfect. I have a couple of days left, and have got a great amount of training done. It is a good break for the “normal winter training”, when you stick to the southern atmosphere, and get a good working load on your body and muscles, and a good start (on continuing) to your winter training. Not to forget the nice heat and sunshine, giving to your body plenty of D vitamin
In Denmark we don’t ski, as we don’t really have snow laying on the ground long period of time in the winter. Normally the snow comes one day and tomorrow it is already away. There are exceptions, like the snow might lie a month… and then we don’t bike…
